This is a classic laid-back swing 16th funk chart aimed at the developing ensemble. It features an airy, swung melody for lead alto and fourth trumpet which is accompanied by heavily syncopated backing figures from the trombones and saxes. Second trombone takes the solo over an extended form and the saxophone section will be challenged by a very busy, heavily syncopated soli. This chart has a powerful ending and is a great for finishing on a good note.
