Adapted from the changes to Frank Rosolino's “Blue Daniel”, this is a laid-back jazz waltz piece that heavily features the trombone section and pays homage to the great arranger – Bill Holman. The articulated, quirky melody is complimented by smooth counter lines and interaction from each section. Ensemble choruses and backing figures build the piece up to the interlude which features the trombone section as a rhythmic bed for a subtle melody played by flute and clarinet. Solos are featured in the piano and third trumpet parts.
